Another bad day for New Zealand.

The result of Second one day of India-New Zealand series was not different then the first one. India winning quite comfortably.

Things were not in the favour of New Zealand from the beginning, as Vettori lost the toss and they were put on to bat first, well it was a bit of surprise as it was a cracking surface.

Indian bowlers responded well to the call of their captain by removing the opener in fourth over. New Zealanders tried hard Guptill, Styris, Taylor, Williamson and Vettori all chipped in but no one was able to capitalize. For India it was Sreesanth who picked up 4 wickets and played an important role in restricting New Zealand to 258.

India then started well as usual. Although M.Vijay was bit tentative but  the captain Gambhir was their to keep required run rate down. The opening stand lasted for more than 17 overs and scored 87 at   5 runs per over. Gambhir continued the good work and never allowed New Zealand to make a come back. He scored 138 not out from just 116 balls and took his ship over the line in 44th over.

Without any doubts Gambhir was awarded man of the match. Series is still on but now its do or die situation for New Zealand. For India, they just need to continue their winning momentum and wrap up the series.

Next ODI will be played on 5th december at Vandodara and we hope it to be a good game of cricket.
