Welcome Back Aussies…

After a dreadful summer of defeats, selection conspiracies and injuries, Australians are finally back. It seems that they have finally given up their losing habit and are right back on track to defend the title for third consecutive time in ICC world cup starting next month.

Although they were beaten quite comprehensively in Ashes series where they had to face three innings defeats in five test matches but  their victory in first three ODIs against England has announced their characteristic come back. Before the series, England were favourites but individual performances from Australian has turned the tables. It all started when Shane Watson played an extraordinary innings to score his career best 161 in first ODI at MCG to take his team to the mammoth target of 295 runs.

Then it was ignored Shaun Marsh turn, who out of no where, scored a century in his come back match to provide Aussies bowlers some thing to defend, kangaroos were all out for 230 in that 2nd ODI and Marsh scored 110 runs. The remaining  job was done by Doug Bollinger who picked four wickets to dismiss England for mere 184.

The third ODI was again a very much not one but two men show, first Brett Lee destroyed English batting line and then David Hussey showed his importance in batting line by scoring 68 not out. He arrived in difficult circumstances, when Aussies were losing their grip from the match, chasing a target of just 215 on a reasonable pitch, they were 92 for 4. His presence till end insured a comfortable victory for Australia.

So, the bottom line is, Australians have announced that they are not going to surrender their title easily, everyone will have to fight hard in order to take the title of “WORLD CHAMPION” which is undisputed held by Australians for more than a decade.
